BIO Amla - capsules with Ayurvedic Amalaki fruits

Amla (Latin Phyllanthus emblica or Emblica officinalis) is also known to some as Indian gooseberry. Its use for various purposes originates in India, as it is one of the important plants of Ayurveda. Indians know it as Amalaki.

In the West, more well known than the plant itself is the Ayurvedic preparation Triphala, which contains three ingredients - one of which is Amalaki. Its precious fruits also contain many other Ayurvedic compounds.

It is a gooseberry-like fruit that grows on a medium-sized tree of the same name. The tiny fruits have rich and invaluable nutritional value. It thrives throughout the Indian subcontinent up to an altitude of nearly 2000 m.
