The INFRASCAN digital infrared thermometer provides non-contact temperature measurement in the ear or forehead using infrared sensors. The measurement takes only 1 second and displays the measured temperature in different colors to show normal, slightly elevated and elevated body temperatures.

The thermometer also emits various audible beeps: a short beep when switched on, a long beep when the measurement is complete, 3 short beeps when an error occurs, 10 short beeps when the body temperature is elevated.
