Manjistha powder - an all-natural ayurvedic product for hair and scalp care!

Manjistha(Rubia cordifolia) is an extremely prized Ayurvedic plant. It is an evergreen climber with yellowish flowers and long roots, which are also the most widely used part of the plant.

Because of its red dye it was also used in the past to dye clothes and textiles, but today it is also used in combination with henna to dye hair-it contains a dark red dye that brings out red tones (the shade depends on the ratio from the manjistha and other herbs).

Along with henna, it can also be an excellent natural hair dye - for red hues!

Use

Tips for use:

• Hair Mask:Mix 2-3 tablespoons with warm water. Leave on for 10 minutes, then apply to slightly damp hair. Cover hair with a nylon shower cap, wrap in a towel and leave on for 30-40 minutes, then rinse with water.
• Foam Mask: Ayurveda recommends a mixture of manjistha, neem and Indian clay - equal amounts of these three ingredients (1 tablespoon) are mixed and diluted with warm water. Apply to face and leave on for about 20 minutes, then rinse with water. Avoid the area around the eyes.
