Sage - tincture

Sage tincture - one of the best known and most widely used herbs.

Salvia officinalis(Salvia officinalis) is a very popular herb due to its various properties. It has been collected and used by the Romans and the ancient Greeks. It is a Mediterranean shrub with characteristic fringed green leaves, purple flowers and a distinctive fragrance.

It is also used as a root in cooking. It is best to use fresh (not dried) sage leaves as the flavour is stronger that way. Sage leaves are often used to make various teas or infusions for gargling in winter.

Bioherba tincture is made from sage leaves soaked in glycerin, which gives it a sweet taste. Glycerin is a colourless, odourless liquid, slightly thicker than water.

A daily dose of the tincture is equivalent to 750 mg of sage.
